The Birla institute of technology and science also known as  BITS PILANI was established in 1929 and has become one of the primer educational institutions in India. It is  a deemed co-ed engineering college offering several courses to train young men and women to make them capable of putting their innovative ideas onto actions and of practical use. This educational hub was established by MR. G.D. Birla which emerged as an institute that provied the highest quality technical education. This institute does not follow the monotonous engineering syllabus as followed by the rest of the colleges but refreshes its syllabus in reference to the new inventions in the field of technology. Here every student is made to focus on the practical knowlege along with the theoretical concepts pertaining to the industrial demands. The admission criteria is solely based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam- BITSAT as conducted byt the insitute which includes mathematics, Physics, chemistry, english and Logical reasoning. Students qualifying this exam are only allowed to get intake in the different courses of BITS PILANI. This institute also has its branch collges in Dubai, Hyderabad and Goa apart from the main college located in Pilani, Rajasthan. It has a wide spread campus of 328 acres with 4500 students along with 350 faculty members. It has a magnificient library with almost 2,30,000 volumes of books available.

Some of the recruiters of BITS Pilani are Indial Oil, MU Sigma, Tech Mahindra, Bhel, TATA motors,schlumberger, FAcebook, google, Microsoft and many more which provides the highest packages for students. Recently Facebook and Schlumberger offered a pay package of 40 lakhs per annum to 38.5 lakhs per annum. The domestic package been given is almost 12.85 lakhs per annum.
