Bangalore Institute Of Technology

Bangalore Institute Of Technology came into existence   in Aug. 1979, under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore with an intake of 242 students. The present strength of the institute is 2510. The institute is provided with the necessary modern infrastructural facilities. BIT has high qualified and experienced teachers. Several companies have recruited BITians. It is of pride and jubilation that the students of BIT are spread all over the world and are holding important positions as engineers and technologists.


Placement

The Placement and Training Centre was started in the year 1994-95 with the following objectives.
1. To organize campus interviews
2. To enhance industry-institute interaction
3. To organize training programs for students to develop communication and other skills.
4. To provide information regarding career opportunities.
5. To organize seminars, workshops and technical talks by eminent personalities from
academic institutions and industry, to enhance the knowledge and skills of BIT students.
6. To provide information and guidance for higher studies.
7. To create a database of various industries. A seminar hall is located right opposite to the Placement Centre, for organizing seminars and & technical forums.In the present day context of intense competition and survival of the fittest environment, success of any professional institution depends a great deal on the placement records, in addition to good infrastructure and staff.Over the past six years, the progress has been highly encouraging and several well-known companies have selected many students of BIT.
