Vinayak Ganesh Vaze College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai was founded in 1984 by the Kelkar Vaze family. It is affiliated with Mumbai University and later on it is recognized by UGC. It is first affiliated Arts, Science and Commerce institution in the state of Maharashtra. It was the youngest college to get affiliated permanently to University of Mumbai. As per India Today survey, the college was rated as one of the top 20 colleges in India. The college has been accredited by NAAC and was awarded grade 'A'. The college was awarded with Best College award by University of Mumbai.
