The college is established in the year of 1969. It is affiliated by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The main purpose of establishing the college was to raise the status of medical science by offering 5.5 years of MBBS degree along with quality education for all. All the courses mentioned later, are a vital part of the MBBS degree. A candidate may choose any one of them as his/her future prospective. 

Placement

 The students are recruited as a junior doctor in the government hospitals if they successfully passed an exam after the MBBS course conducted by WB government.
