Lajpat Rai DAV College was founded in the year 1959, in the name of Lala Lajpat Rai and later in 1987, it came under the control of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. This year the college will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary. The college is affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh. The college was established with an aim of imparting good quality scientific and technical education to the aspirants of Punjab state. The college provides many facilities like a well stocked library, computer labs, science labs, Gym, sports, hostel facility and college canteen. The college offers many undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Arts and Commerce.
Few students were placed last year in IBM.
