Manipur Institute of Technology is affiliated to the Manipur University. The institute is located at Takyelpat. It is maintained by the Manipur University and the funds made available to it by the UGC. On 29 august 1998 this college came in to existance as Government College of Technology(GCT). The Academic building and other infrastructure are being developed in the Manipur University Campus. MIT has qualified staff with the supportive nature.
