NSCBMC was established in 1955 and formerly known as Government Medical College. Jabalpur was the heart of Mahakoushal and it was only appropriate on the part of late Mr. Ravi Shankar Shukla so, that  chief Minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh declared to open Medical College in Jabalpur. It is the second medical college in the state of Madhya Pradesh. In the words of our idol Netaji Subash Chandra Bose the college serve mankind by using the intellectual and mental best. Present intake is 150 students with admission mostly through . It also is accredited for post graduate and subspeciality medical education.
