Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University is the oldest and one of the reputed institution of Chhattisgarh. The Institution was founded in 1964 and was named after the first chief minister of Madhya Pradesh state. The main aim of the university is to become a world-class university and be able to achieve excellence in higher education. The University has twenty-nine teaching departments. Approximately 180 institutions are affiliated to Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University.

Placement

 The University has a career counselling and placement cell, headed by five senior faculties of University. According to past placement records, fourteen MBA students have been selected in the campus interview by CIPLA Ltd. and FDC Ltd. HDFC and Spectramind have conducted campus interview. CMC India Ltd. conducted campus interview and selected two students of S.O.S in Computer Science.
