Sri Mittapalli Institute of Technology for Women (SMITW), Guntur is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. The Institute was established in 2008 with a view to empower women education in the district of Guntur. The smooth  functioning  of the college is ensured  by the Chairman / Secretary and Principal of the college as per the norms of AICTE & Affiliating  University (JNTU)  by way of  close interaction  between the  Management / Principal/Faculty/Staff and students. Suggestions are sought from faculty and students to better the functioning and performance of the college.  This is in addition to suggestions derived from external academic experts.

Placement

Training and placement cell is an integral part of the institute. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. A full fledged career guidance & placement training cell is constituted to train the students for better career opportunities right from the first year of the course. The cell has a dedicated team of experts to work on the placement requirements of the students. The team ensures that each and every passing out student has been placed in reputed companies in and out of the state. Students are encouraged to exhibit not only good academic performance but also to develop good personality traits to enhance their placement /career/entrepreneurial opportunities. Feed back from students is taken to assess the quality of teaching of the faculty and general functioning of the college
