 1.     Insolvency and Bankruptcy code

·        It is a law to consolidate the existing framework by creating a single law for insolvency and bankruptcy.

·        Government has established an Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India to solve all the matters related to this code.

·        It is an act related to reorganization and insolvency of corporate persons, partnership firms and individuals in a time bound manner for maximization of value assets of such persons, to promote entrepreneurship, availability of credit and balance the interest of all the stakeholders.


2.     Cauvery Draft Scheme

·        There will be a Board, Authority or Committee based on Cauvery Water Management Scheme, 2018.

·        Headquarter of this body will be in Bengaluru.

·        The admisnistrative expenses will be borne by Karnataka (40%), Tamil Nadu (40%), Kerala (15%) and Puducherry (5%).




3.     Telenor will be merged in Bharti Airtel

·        Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has approved Bharti Airtel ‘s acquisition of Telenor India.

·        Currently Telenor is working in seven circles – Andhra Pradesh (AP), Bihar, UP (East), UP (West), Maharashtra and Assam.

·        The acquisition of Norway’s Telenor Company by Airtel has been already approved by National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Competition Commission of India (CCI) and Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).   



4.     Green propellant by ISRO

·        An environment friendly propellant has been developed by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to power satellites and spacecraft.

·        Currently conventional hydrazine rocket fuels are used which is highly toxic and carcinogenic chemical.

·        These tests are done by Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) which is associated with tests of a propellant blend based hydroxyl ammonium nitrate (HAN).
