1. Merger of BoB, Dena bank and Vijya bank proposed
Ø Merger of Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank and Vijya Bank will create third largest state owned bank.
Ø The decision was taken by a panel headed by finance minister and consists of defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman and railways minister Piyush Goyal.
Ø It is a part of Banking Sector Reform and based on recommendation of various banking expert committees such as Narsimham Committee and Basel Norm III.
2. Digital North East Vision Document 2022
Ø Government has launched the event in Guwahati.
Ø The aim is to provide optimum utilization of Information Communication and Technology.
