1. Raahgiri Day -community building program :

 

 

  • ‘Raahgiri Day’ is a community building program in Haryana organised on 1st Dec’2019.
  • Raahgiri Day was started from 17th Nov’2013 from Gurugram.
  • Theme was ‘World Aids Day’ which is also celebrated on 1st December.
  • This was celebrated in 12 districts across the state.

2. Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 :

 

 

  • Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 started from Palwal & Mewat district.
  • In this mission, all pregnant women & children upto the age of 5 years will be vaccinated.
  • This mission is scheduled from Dec’2019 to Mar’2020.

3. International Gita Mahotsav :

 

 

  • International Gita Mahotsav is organised at Brahma Sarovar-Kurukshetra from 23rd Nov to 10th Dec’2019.
  • Shri. Satyadeo Narayan Arya , Governor of Haryana will be the chief guest for the event & presided over by Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana.

4. Department of Foreign Affairs of Haryana Government :


 

  • The Haryana Government has created a new departmentDepartment of Foreign Affairs’.
  • This new department will streamline and focus on various initiatives taken by the state government to promote investment, employment, welfare of NRIs & Haryanvi diaspora.

5. Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste management plant at Basai :



  • Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste management plant of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) at Basai, Gurugram .
  • This C&D Waste management plant was announced in 2017 & commenced its operations on 5th Dec’2019.
  • Two contractors will collect such waste on a door-to-door basis.
  • This debris management unit at Basai is a major step toward safely processing and disposing of this debris (waste from construction & demolition of building) waste.
  • More than 90% of construction waste is recyclable.
