1. The Vidyalaya was established with the sponsorship of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) in 1985.
2. On 13th August 1985, the Vidyalaya started functioning in Gogna Colony, Maithon with Classes I to V.
3. From 1985 to 1995, the Vidyalaya functioned in Gogna Colony and grew up to +2 stage.
4. In the academic session 1995-96, it shifted to its new building located in the Dyke Area, Maithon.
5. In the year 1991, first batch of Class-X passed out.
6. The first batch of Class-XII (Science) passed out in 1995.
