The best Fashion designing college in India is NIFT. It has 15 branches in 15 states. You have to sit for an Ent. Exam in Feb.Test is in 2 parts.After clearing this Test, you have to sit for Situation Test. PEARL academy is another good Inst.You can prepare for these ent. exams with AFS,Delhi.

Admission process –
Eligibility for Fashion Design Entrance Exams:
Candidate should have passed +2 or class 12 for UG Courses and Graduation for Post Graduate Courses
Candidates in final year can also apply for entrance exams
Paper Pattern for Fashion Design Entrance Exams:
Fashion Design Entrance Exams would usually have written test to examine the candidates knowledge, skill and the aptitude for the programme chosen.
Questions will be of objective type with or without negative marking.
Shortlisted candidates have to go through situation test, group discussion or personall interview. This may vary from institute to institute.
In government run institute, the fee is subsidized and quite less. You need to shell around Rs. 40,000 per semester if you fall in the non-subsidized category. Subsidy is provided to students whose family income is upto Rs. 3,00,000 and the slabs are as follows: Upto 1 lakh, Rs. 10,000 per semester, upto 2 lakh, Rs. 20,000 per semester, upto 3 lakh, Rs. 30,000 per semester. In order to study in the National Institute of Design, the fee will come to around Rs. 1,16,800 per annum, which is bit more than the full fee of NIFT. In JIMS the fee comes to around Rs. 80,000 per annum, which is at par to the full NIFT fee. The fee of the Satyam Fashion institute is a whooping Rs. 60,000 per semester. The Pearl Academy of Fashion charges around Rs. 40,000 per semester and the NIIFT charges something around Rs. 55,000 per semester as tuition fee.
