    Ancient Greeks called the indus valley people as India. the word India means people of Indus in Greek. So the name given by Greeks.

    India means “In with God” In spanish, to refer Native Americans, How Hindustan ended up with that name is unknown to me.

    The name India (IPA: /’ɪndiə/) is derived from Indus, which is derived from the Old Persian word Hindu, from Sanskrit Sindhu.
