1.        First Commercial Flight in Arunachal

·        With the landing of flight in Pasighat Advance Landing Ground in East Siang district Arunachal Pradesh found a place on aviation map.

·        Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India will operate flight service on Calcutta-Guwahati-Pashighat route.

·        The launching of commercial flight will enhance tourism and the state will be more connected to the rest of the country.

 

2.         Thirty crore bulb distribution under UJALA Scheme

·        The Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL) has distributed over thirty crore Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs across the country under the Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA) scheme.

·        The scheme was launched in 2015.

·        The scheme is a non-subsidised LED lamp distribution project which is largest LED distribution programme in the world.

 

3.        Banihal-Qazigund Tunnel operational by next year

·        National Highway authority of India (NHAI) has confirmed that the Banihal-Qazigund Tunnel will be operational by the next year.

·        The tunnel having length of 8.5 km connects Banihal and Qazigund of Jammu and Kashimar state and situated in the Pir-Panjal Range.

·        The tunnel will be directional i.e. there will be two parallel tunnels one for each direction of travel.

 

 

4.        Do You Know ToneTag Technology

·        It is a communication technology protocol that will enable data transfer using sound waves.

·        It can work with the devices that do not have a microphone or speaker i.e. it is not hardware dependent.

·        The technology can be used in highly secured proximity payments, customer engagement services etc.

·        A Bengaluru-based financial technology company is all set to introduce ToneTag technology.
