1.     International Water Colour Festival

·      International Water Colour Festival will be organized in Ranchi, Jharkhand.  

·     It will be closed on August 27, 2018.

·     The festival is jointly organized by Department of Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports and Youth affairs.

·     The festival aims to bring local artists in touch with the international art and promote the rich art and culture of Jharkhand.

 

2.        BIMSTEC will be in Kathmandu

·  Fourth Summit of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal.

·  The summit will be held on Aug 30 to Aug 31, 2018.

·  Nepal is the current chair of this organization.          

·  It is a regional economic bloc comprising seven member states lying in the littoral and adjacent areas of the Bay of Bengal.

·  Secretariat of BIMSTEC is in Dhaka.

· Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan are members of BIMSTEC.

 

3.        Reliance Jio is in top Fortune list

·      For the rapid increase in the access to the internet Reliance Jio has been included in Fortune’s global list.

·      Jio is ahead of pharma giant Merck and Bank of America and Chinese billionaire Jack Ma-led Alibaba.

·      The list was named as “Change the world” which included such companies which helped to tackle social problems.

 

4.        One liner Current Affairs

·  Rahi Sarnobat has won gold medal in Women’s 25m Pistol shooting at the Asian Games.

· Uruguayan Football Association (UFA) will now be controlled by FIFA.        

· V.V.S. Laxman will launch his autobiography ‘281 and Beyond’.

·  Kaptan Singh Solanki, Tathagat Roy and Ganga Prasad will be new governor of Tripura, Meghalaya and Sikkim respectively.

· “No Spin”, an autobiography of famous spinner Shane Warne will be launched in October 2018.
