1.     Odisha will have Legislative Council

·      Odisha Government has given approval for setting up a Legislative council (LC) in the State.

·      The Council will have 49 members.

·      There are currently seven states in India which have Legislative Councils- UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.


2.        World’s first Blockchain bond

· World's first blockchain bond has been launched by the World Bank and it is named as “bond-i”.

· Commonwealth Bank of Australia will be sole arranger for this bond.

· It is Ethereum Blockchain bond denominated in Australian dollars.


3.        Make in Odisha Conclave

·      Government of Odisha will organize ‘Make in Odisha Conclave’ from November 11 to November 15.

· The conclave will be organized in Bhubaneswar and will be partnered by Japan.

· It is a flagship scheme of Odisha government.


4.        One liner Current Affairs

· Scott Morrison will replace Malcolm Turnbull the incumbent Prime Minister of Australia.

· NASA will launch Laser Satellite to measure changes in the height of Earth’s polar ice which will further reveal the cause of fast ice melting.

· ‘Neta App’ has been launched by former President Pranab Mukharjee which will allow voters to rate and review their political representatives.

· SCO Peace Mission Exercise 2018 started formally at Chebarkul, Russia on 24th August 2018.

· Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won gold medal in the men’s double tennis event at the Asian Games.

· Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh won bronze medal in lightweight double sculls at the Asian Games.

· Dushyant Cauhan won bronze medal in the Men’s Lightweight Single Scull at the Asian Games.
