  1. Cabinet apprised of the MoU between Atal Innovation Mission, India and Fund "Talent and Success", Russia for promotion of science & technology

  • The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Atal Innovation Mission, India and Fund "Talent and Success", Russia for promotion of science & technology, strong foundation to the collaborative work through exchange of students, teachers, researchers and scientists between both countries. The MoU was signed on October 5, 2018.

  1. Cabinet approves: i) Implementation of the umbrella scheme "Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services"; ii) Sub-schemes to continue during 2017-20; and iii) National Facility for Airborne Research(NFAR) to be set up

  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved MoU between India and Mauritius on Consumer Protection and Legal Metrology

  • A National Institute of Inter-Faith Studies to be set up in Punjab to commemorate 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak

  • The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Implementation Committee (NIC) headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.


5. Himachal CM to launch schemes in Palampur

  • Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will visit Palampur on November 23 to launch different developmental schemes worth crores of rupees


6. Javadekar launches innovation cell at AICTE

  • Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar launched through video conference an innovation cell at the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) to promote innovation in all higher education institutions across the country.

  • This is a step towards PM’s vision of achieving the goal of 50th position in the Ease of Doing Business.


8. NMCG approved 10 composite Sewerage Projects in Agra worth Rs. 1573.28 Crore to help reduce pollution in Yamuna

  • The decision was taken by the Executive Committee (EC) of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) for the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh.

11.Abhijit Bose named as WhatsApp India head

  • Centre announced Abhijit Bose as its India head. Mr. Bose, who was co ­founder and CEO of electronic payments company Ezetap previously, will join early next year.
