  1. The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the Constitution Day celebrations, organised by the Supreme Court, to mark the anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution on November 26, 1949, today (November 26, 2018) in New Delhi.

  • Says Idea of Social Justice has Expanded to Encompass Modern Civic Parameters like Pollution and Health

2. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu,launched the logo and brochure of Logix India 2019 in New Delhi

3. The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, inaugurated the 14th Formation Day of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The theme of this year’s Formation Day is ‘Early Warning for Disasters’.

4. National Backward Class Finance Development Corporation (NBCFDC), a public sector undertaking under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organized a “Quiz and Cultural Programme” comprising various innovative and fun-filled activities here today to raise children’s self-esteem and promote healthy behavior specially amongst street and homeless children drawn from slum areas of Delhi NCR.

6. The West Bengal Assembly passed Bill which empowers municipalities in the State to charge a fine of maximum ₹1 lakh if the resident fail to comply with the measures for prevention of mosquito breeding and spreading of Vector­ borne diseases.

7. The Odisha government on Monday launched a Public Bicycle Sharing system to reduce traffic congestion, enhance space efficiency, and improve air quality in Bhubaneswar.
