National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation Scholarships Scholarships In India NHFDC Scholarships For Students With Disabilities
National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invite application from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarship Scheme (National Fund) Under this scheme, eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification.
No of Students: 500
Scholarship Amount: Professional courses
Rs.1000/-p.m. for hostellers
Rs.700/-p.m. for day scholars
Diploma/Certificate level courses
Rs.700/-p.m. for hostellers
Rs.400/-p.m. for day scholars
And Course fee Reduced upto Rs.10000/-per year.
Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/deaf graduate and post graduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students.
Monthly income of the student’s parent or guardian should not be more than Rs.15,000/( per month) from all sources. Family income include income of parent/guardian.
Scholarship holder under this scheme will not concurrently hold any other scholarship/stipend.
How to apply : - The applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) before 31.08.2013 and the printed application form along with requisite documents duly countersigned and recommended by the head of the institution, where they are studying, Send to: National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), Red Cross Bhawan, Sector-12, Faridabad-7. It is to be noted that without a hard copy of application, a candidate application in soft copy will not be entertained.
list of enclosures along with hard copy of application:
(i) Academic records (attested copy of certificates and Mark sheets - matric & above),
(ii) Family Income Certificate/ Proof of annual income, Salary Slip, last Income tax Assessment order,
(iii) Attested copy of Disability Certif,
(iv) Course fee receipt (if any) with breakup of each item duly paid during the academic session (v) Hostel Certificate or certificate from the house owner in case of accommodation hired by at least by a group of 3 students living together with common mess arrangements.
