UPSC Syllabus Civil Services Preliminary Exam
Two compulsory papers with 200 marks each are required for the Civil Services Preliminary Exam. They are General Studies Paper I (200 marks) and General Studies Paper II (200 marks). Multiple choice and objective questions will be asked. Preliminary marks will not count towards final ranking. They will only be used to qualify for the main exam.

The Commission will create a list of qualified candidates for Civil Service (Main), Examination. This list will be based on the minimum qualifying marks 33% in General Studies PaperII (Preliminary). Examination and the total qualifying marks of General Studies PaperII (Preliminary). As may be determined by Commission.
