When Various institutions were found lacking in various fields, Handa College of Education under the dynamic and stewardship of its chairperson – Mrs. Veena Handa stood high with superior infrastructure facilities, which were highly acclaimed by the inspection team of Jammu University, headed by Mr. M.R. Puri one of prominent educationist and ex-vice chancellor of the University .
In Academic pursuits this college has achieved good results. Only in its infancy i.e. second session of its establishment, the college fetched almost 100% pass, 80% distinction and Ist classes and 7th position amongst the first ten positions, produced by the University.1st and 2nd position in its 3rd session.
The Institute is bubbling with academic and other co-curricular activities under the able, efficient and highly qualified faculties in different disciplines. No doubt the Handa College of Education has created an niche in the Academic Environment of Jammu by adapting the pragmatic aptitude in providing professional education which imbibes the rich qualities of head and heart and over all development of personality of the students.
