The institute established in the year 2007-08. Initially, it started functioning with Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Science and Mechanical Engineering branches, offering 4 years duration Degree Programme in Engineering.All the programmes are affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological Unversity, Karnataka and recognised by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.The S.E.A COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY offers programs reflecting the needs of industry and society from local, regional, national and international perspectives. Engineering is a fast moving, challenging and rewarding profession which contributes extensively to society as a whole, offering solutions in design, construction and management.

Placement
The college lays emphasis on placement which is the culmination of students learning. A full fledged placement cell has been established and it offers services such as campus interviews, career path advise, common & soft skill development, self assessment and personality development. The Department presently co-ordinates with more than 50-60 leading organizations which recruits trainee engineers and management trainees for entry level positions in their respective organizations.
The salary package offered for SEACET students are attractive and averages to around 3.0 to 3.5 lacs per annum across all sector of the industries. The starting salary in IT sector has been increasing because of competitive sourcing by organizations. 100% placement at campus interviews, for eligible students.
