Shanmuganathan Engineering College was established during academic year 2001-2002 by the shanmuganathan educational trust at arasampatti near thirumayam on national highway 210, 15 kms from pudukottai and 25 kms from karaikudi. The college is located on a Sprawling campus amidst serene and calm surrounding, ideally suited for the pursuit of learning. Within just one year of its establishment the institution has earned an enviable reputation as premier technical institution offering quality engineering education.

Placement
We are having a full fledged Training and Placement Cell headed by a Senior Staff Member as PLACEMENT and TRAINING OFFICER assisted by placement co-ordinators.
This cell give training to all students on Comprehension, Soft Skills like communication, fluency in English speaking, career planning, aptitude test, group discussion and conduct mock interviews for final year student to become employable in campus interview.
