Veterinary Science was formalized in 18th Century. It is the science of diagnosing, treating and curing the various disease which any animal can have. This is a profile of a Veterinary Doctor who not only treats the animals in there disease but also operates and perform surgeory to prevent the disease spread in the other animals. This science helps a vet to perform activities like Animal Husbandry which is used to breed the animals using selected breeds.
This Science broadly covers the study of animals pshycology , physiology, treatment and prevention from different diseases. The Vet is much more that a general physiacn or a human surgeon. The Vet plays a major role in protecting the wealth of domestic animals and livestocks.
Early joinees can start career with 15000 INR and further growth while self practioners can get upto 1,00,000 or more.It depends on the growing experiences and skills of the personnel.
Generally after doing BVSC, most candidates go on to do a post graduation, namely a Master in Veterinary Science. The Postgraduate course in Veterinary Science (MVSC) is a 2 year course and the candidate has the option to specialize in areas like medicine, surgery, anatomy, bacteriology, biochemistry, cardiology, dermatology, microbiology, molecular biology, anaesthesia, gynaecology, pathology, toxicology, virology pharmacology, etc.
To become a Veterinary Doctor one has to complete the Program of DVM i.e. Doctor of Veternity Medicines. To be a part of Under Graduate course of Veternity one must have completed his initial studies from the science stream with the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

For taking admission into this course a student must have completed HSC (High School Certificate) or equivalent course, with science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
