The candidates willing to be the part of this communication school need to fill an application form for the enrollment purposes. The registered candidates have to appear for a small personal interview and GD based on the recent topics provided by the head faculties. Further procedure is based on the results of the PI and GD.

The Sacred Heart Girls High School encourages our students to take part in a variety of clubs and activities. The following clubs and activities are available to our students. Many of these are offered during the regular school day. Clubs Clubs are work groups of pupils who show an extra or special interest in a particular subject or activity. We have the following clubs functioning with whole hearted support of pupils and teachers. Science Club Science Club started functioning in 1970’s. Club activities enable the children to win prizes in district and state competitions. School science club releases science magazine every year recording its achievements , scientific articles and activities. We have participitated in Southern India Science Fair, National Science Seminar and National Children Science Congress. At Present there are 217 members in our science club. (2007) Social Science Club Social science is a vast field that encompasses the study of everything from one's limited environment to the wide world which is the abode of all till man beings. Since 1997 our school has a powerful and an active social science club. The Club started functioning with 55 talented students organizing various programs on the National and International days, Environment day, UNO day etc are celebrated with immense enthusiasm and co-operation. Various programs like colash making, painting competition, Quiz, press club, debate etc are organized by the club members. The students of social science club proved their hallmark by securing the overall championship in the social science exhibition in district level on the academic year 2002-2003. At present there are 150 members in the Social science club. Our students participated in various quiz competitions and secured first prize in 2007-2008 academic year. In this year Vishnupriya of 10th std was awarded first prize in the Elocution competition in the district level. She was also a participant in State level competition. Maths Club Math's Club in Sacred Heart Girls High School was formed in early 90's. Hence forth it has executed various activities to inculcate in the students an aptitude for maths' and scientific outlook. Since the year 2000, our students had participated in district level mathematics competition and won many prizes. We have state winners in Maths' Seminar, Geometrical chart and other charts. This year the club started functioning with 97 members. Every year club members release a magazine 'Math Beats ' Vidyarangam Kalasahithya Vedi The functioning of Vidyarangam in our school is praise worthy. There are about 600 students in the club so our unit has the largest number of members in our educational district for the past few years. It provides ample opportunities for the children to develop their abilities in literature, literary quiz, book review etc. Competitions like story writing, versification, nadanpattu, riddles etc. are also conducted. Winners are given prizes. We keep up the important days in remembrance of eminent writers in Malayalam literature. The members are given chances to take part in different exhibition and study tour. Some of the club members have done outstanding performance in state level competitions for the past few years.We are proud to say that our unit has the sub district champions for the past few years. Echo Club The Echo Club of our school is also actively functioning. The members are very lively.They do various activities like gardening, cleaning the premises, planting and protection of medicinal plants, water management etc. Health Club We have also started the health club this year in order to improve the healthy habits of our students. The awareness programs are conducted by them to raise the healthy habits of all students in the schools as well as their family members. Art Club The Art Club of our school is actively functioning. The Art Club helps the students in our school to learn and experience various forms of Art like dance, music - vocal & instrumental, drama, painting etc.. Literary Club In order to enable the pupils to develop confidence in using English language an English club has started functioning this year. There are about fifty members in the club and three teachers are in charge of the club. The members meet every fortnight and they participate in various learning activities like debates, skits, seminars and other discussions effectively and confidently. The members get opportunity to familiarize with English dailies, Journals, Magazines, Notices, Brochures, Letters etc. They are also given chance to display the products developed by them as a part of language learning activities in the school exhibition. Go top Guides It is very proud to note that the 56th Thalassery Guide Company in the Sacred Heart Girls High School is not only a model for the Thalassery Educational district but also for the whole state. Our guide company was formed in 1986 under the leadership of Sr. Prasanthi. Later the charge was handled over to Smt. C.A. Thressiamma and Smt. Gayathri. D.D. This year Smt. Suma P. Unni and Smt. Sheena Pullenkunnel is assisting the company. Most of our cadets have been the recipients of Rashtrapathi award. So far, 226 cadets have received this award from our school.The four days unit camp held every year is an unforgettable experience for the cadets. The different activities like Hike, Patrol-Expedition, Service Projects, Small Saving Projects etc., not only enhance the knowledge and enthusiasm but also help the guides to reach their goal. Our Cadets have shown their ability in the national and international levels as well as in the state level. They have turned out to be empowered and cared to inspire the future generation. Go top Junior Red Cross Sacred Heart Girls High School has a well established J.R.C Unit. Started in 1991 with 50 members, got registered in 2001. Now there are 80 members 46 C Level, 17 B Level and 17 A Level . Actively participating in all the activities in the school including social services, noon meal distribution , awareness programme, making of first aid box in each class. Extends its service to the society too.
