Akula Sreeramulu College of Engineering, Tanuku was established in 1998 and is one of the growing technical colleges in India.It is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, & the courses offered by Akula Sreeramulu College of Engineering have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi.
 
ASR West Godavari is run by A S R Educational Society. The college offers several undergraduate courses in engineering, along with a postgraduate course in computer applications. The college provides on-campus placement facility. The students are equipped with guidance of highly experienced teachers and facilities required for them.
