Damodar College of Commerce and Economics was founded in the year 1973 by Vidya Vikas Mandal. The college is affiliated to Goa University and has U.G.C. recognition. The college was accredited by NAAC in 1999 and was given three star status. The college provides many facilities to its students like well stocked library, computer labs, spacious and well ventilated classrooms, a multipurpose hall for indoor games and a canteen. This college offers bachelors and masters courses in the fields of Arts and Economics. This college offers distance education programmes in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The career cell of the college is involved in guiding and training the studentsn for their placements. Since 2001 many multinational companies have visited the college and have placed its students. The companies are G.E. International, Hewlett & Packard Ltd., E - Funds and many more.
