Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication technology, Gandhi Nagar was established in 6th August,2001. It is named after the Gujarati entrepreneur and Reliansce Group founder DHirubhai Ambani.
Infrastructure-
DA-IICT has a modern, networked campus with optical fibre cable connectivity between buildings. It has IT infrastructure, computing and communication resources, electronic access controls and a payment system through smart cards.
Academics-
DA-IICT began in August 2001 with an intake of 240 undergraduate students for its Bachelor of Technology program in Information and Communication Technology. It has expanded to include postgraduate courses such as M.Des, MS(IT), MTech(ICT), MS(IT-Agriculture), along with a Doctorate program.Apart from academics, Extracurricular activities include solving rural and urban problems, organisation of national level events and workshops, social service, stage and street plays, critical appreciation of films, learning foreign languages, appreciating cultural events organised by SPICMACAY and the like. The college celebrates an annual festival, Synapse.
