Dr. Samuel George Institute of Engineering & Technology, Prakasam was came into existence in 1997, with undergraduate courses in five disciplines, namely Electronics & Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. Since its inception, the college is expanded itself. In 2008, it came up with two more courses, which include MCA and Bachelors in Information Technology. In 2009, Dr. Samuel George Institute of Engineering & Technology added M. Tech and MBA to its courses. The institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada and the courses offered by it are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
