Government Post Graduate College, Solan was established in the year 1959 by the Government of Himachal Pradesh to impart quality education among the aspirants of Himachal Pradesh state. Initially, the college had only one faculty in Arts. Later, Science and Commerce streams were introduced. The college presently offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce and a postgraduate course in English. In addition to this, the college provides many facilities to its students like a well stocked library, hostel facility, canteen, sports facility, first aid centre and many more.
