In today's world, the governance of any country is becoming more & more economy-centric. Growth of any society is not limited to its geographical boundaries but lies in its response to globalization. This is due to rapid development of technology in the recent past.It is difficult to say whether the economy of the world is driving technology or vice versa,Thus for any society to survive the challenges of rapid technological advancements, it is necessary to continuously evolve its education system particularly its engineering and scientific education and give its children the right kind of direction to take up the challenges of tomorrow.
Our President Dr. Abdul Kalam, in his vision for making India a super power by 2020 noted that, " A new situation was emerging on our national scene of an ascending economic trajectory, rising foreign exchange reserves and global recognition of technological competence.
" He was satisfied that our employment pattern was rising in Manufacturing Sector and emphasized that, " By 2020, this pattern should aim at 56% in manufacturing and service sectors and 44% in agriculture sector and for this, our education system should proactively build entrepreneurial and vocational capacities among students."
Keeping the above aim in focus, 'Guru Gram Institute of Engineering & Technology (GGIAET) was opened in the year 2003 by Gurugram Group of institutions.
