This College is managed by 155 years old Gujarat Vidyasabha, Brahmchari Wadi Trust. This college was established in 1848 by Sir Alexander Kinlock Forbes. This college aims in the development of Gujarati language and literature. As it has its chief concern for Gujarati language, this college translated many literature books into Gujarati.
