Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh was  established in 1956 and  is one of the oldest institutions in the state of Chhattisgarh. The university has produced a number of celebrities in Indian Classical Music and Dance. It keeps the oldest and priceless classical recitals in the listening room of the university with utmost care. It is situated in Khairagarh of Rajnandgaon District. The University is providing education in arts and music. Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It has a number of affiliated colleges, some of them even outside the state. All of its courses have been approved by University Grants Commission, UGC.
