Institute of Technical Education and Research, Bhubaneswar was established in 1996-97. Located at Jagamohan Nagar, Jagamara, Bhubanewar and spread over about 12 acres of land ITER is within the Municipal Corporation limits of Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar Railway station is 6 km away, and Airport 3.5 kms.
The Institute is approved by UGC, Govt. of India, New Delhi under the banner of Siksha O' Anusandhan (S'O'A) University. It has the unique distinction of quality education and infrastructure of high standard and has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001: 2000 certification for its quality management systems. The Placement Cell of ITER identifies the industry needs and demands from time to time and prepares its graduating engineering and MCA students who are on the threshold of an exciting career in the field of technology. The placement cell is committed to continuous learning, and creating positive ideas, through rigorous training to prepare the young techies. There primary objective is to enrich students' human capital through the creation of a learning environment. We are dedicated to help there students achieve worthwhile positions in different fields in the corporate sectors. Students' communication skills are honed through communication and organizational behavior courses. For overall personality development regular counseling sessions are organized on various aspects of personality development like positive thinking, body language, time management, stress management and communicative skills. They invite psychologists and career counselors to conduct these sessions, motivate the students and help them to improve the power of assimilation and retention.
