KIIT is the youngest autonomous institution to be awarded the deemed university tag in India. The institution, situated centrally in BHUBANESWAR, Odisha, has already achieved the status of University. KIIT has been ranked 5th amongst private engineering colleges in India by THE PIONEER in 2012.
The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Bio-technology, Law, Medicine, Management, Fashion and Journalism.
All the academic programs in KIIT are fully accredited by NAAC of UGC and NBA of AICTE, which are, ofcourse, landmarks of excellence. It has been awarded with A grade by NAAC, which is the highest grade, and a CGPA of 3.6/4.
ADMISSIONS
The admissions on undergraduate level in KIIT are done by its own entrance exam- KIITEE. On the other hand, the entrance on postgraduate level are done on the basis on GATE scores.
CAMPUS & FACILITIES
The institute has got twelve world class state-of-art campuses of 400 acres (1.6 square kilometers) in Bhubaneswar. Each campus is named after a river of India, which sounds fascinating. The classrooms are air conditioned and have state-of-the-art modern educational equipment like wireless LCD projectors to teach the students in a friendly manner. The campus is connected by a 16 MBPS Wi-fi connection for easy access to the internet. The university has a central library consisting more than 141,819 books and journals on various topics and also have access to several renowned web libraries and journals.
