Now a days, students select the college based more on Placement opportunities on the campus rather than simply on the infrastructure and other factors. In this context, it is duty of the College in general and Training and Placement Department in particular to equip and train the students to become employable. At the same time, the visiting companies expect a degree of facilities in any college to conduct the campus selection process. The Training and Placement Department of the college has geared up to the situation and has the required infrastructure for the purpose of conducting training and placement activities.
Every year, the TAP forms a coordinating committee comprising of student representatives from every branch of engineering. The TAP has to its credit of organizing various need-oriented training programs to the students in the 3rd year. They include motivation lectures, refresher courses, practical workshops on group discussion, interview facing techniques, personality development and soft skills. The TAP conducts tests on various topics like technical, analytical reasoning, puzzle solving, C, aptitude etc. at regular intervals. The senior students take active role in training and helping their juniors. Also, experts /faculty from different organizations are drawn to train the students. The TAP houses a small library with relevant titles.
The TAP has developed good rapport with recruiting agencies and companies which has resulted in the increased number of companies visiting the campus for recruitment as also the number of recruitments.
