Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, established in 1984 by the Mohamed Sathak Trust has the twin distinction of being the first self-financed and Muslim Minority Engineering College in Tamil Nadu.
The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and offers 10 Undergraduate and 8 Postgraduate courses to over 2500 students. An ISO 9001:2000 certified institution it is Affiliated to Anna University, Trichy and the college has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Students are constantly kept abreast of the employment opportunities available in India and abroad. The quality of the training provided at the institution is borne out by the fact that the students have been placed in leading institutions such as Infosys, IBM, L&T Infotech, ETA Ascon Dubai, TECHNP Chennai, Saiperm India, Naval Defence, Cochin, Assurgent Tech, Sriram Finance, Elite Contractors and Asia Motors Gujarat.
