Prasad Institute of Technology (PIT) is located in Jaunpur city of Uttar Pradesh. Also known as PIT Jaunpur, the institute was established in 1997. It conducts courses recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi. 

Prasad Institute of Technology Jaunpur is affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University UPTU), Lucknow. The institute has been set up and managed by Prasad Education Trust.

PIT has gained image as an educationla colossal among technical institutes because of its placement commitments. An exclusive Career Management Centre (CMC) is developed to have an interface between the Institute and Industries. In this centre membership programmes are arranged to provide most creative brains to the industries. PIT-HP Excellence Centre: These days most of the software & electronics industries desire to get trained professionals. PIT has taken a proper note of this problem and an Excellence Centre is developed in collaboration with Hewlett. Packard (HP) to train the studies from NCR region on these desired technologies. This Excellence Centre will bridge the gap between academic curriculum and industrial needs. The students from any institute can come to join vocational training in this Excellence Centre. Foreign Collaborations: In this era of globalization every student has a dram to fly high. The Institute has made collaboration with international organizations such as Texas based Again Knowledge Solutions, EMC, and J.Art Broadband, Japan to outsource well trained professionals.
