Mission:
The mission of the Department of Information Technology of RIET is to impart high quality post graduate and under-graduate education and carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Information Technology. The Department has various laboratories equipped with various facilities to support the research and teaching activities.The Department is responsible for complete teaching of IT subjects of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar for B. Tech Degree.
During the initial year of the curriculum, students acquire knowledge of basic concepts in subjects like Engineering Graphics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Programming. This helps in acquiring the skill sets needed to make them world-class IT professionals. It also gives them the insights needed to fulfill industry expectations.
