The college was inaugurated by Prof. B.S. Sonde, Vice Chancellor of Goa University on May 30, 1999. Presently, the college is managed by the Diocesan Society of Education. In May, 1991, the Goa University granted affiliation for Arts Faculty. Permanent affiliation to Arts Faculty was also granted by Goa University in 1999.
