The Shree Chanakya Education Society (SCES) was established in February 1994, under the visionary leadership of Dr.Tarita Shankar, with the aim of providing top quality post-graduate education in the fields of Business Management, International Business and Information Technology. Since inception, the Institutes managed by SCES, have maintained high academic standards and have successfully provided trained manpower to the industrial and services sector of the country. With a modest strength of 60 students pursuing a single course, SCES has grown steadily and today boasts of 14 Institutes, having more than 8000 students from all over India pursuing multi-disciplinary, graduate & post-graduate programmes. Our objective of providing 'Management education in a corporate environment' , has been possible due to the sincere and dedicated efforts of the members of SCES, who have invaluable experience in varied areas like academics, industry, service and social-work.

Placement

The Placement activity at Indira College of Engineering and Management is headed by Mr. Ravinder John, Director - Placements.

The team consists of active representation by staff and students from each stream thus ensuring suitable training and placement related activities being organized for students according to their interests, capability and specific to their chosen streams. The interest of the students are looked into so that there will be a smooth transition into the real world.
The college aims to fully capitalize upon its proximity to major companies such as the Automobile hub located at MIDC Chakan & Talegaon having the presence of companies such as General Motors, Mercedes, Volkswagen, etc. as well as the IT Park located at Hinjewadi catering to Infosys, Wipro, etc.

The placement team endeavors to provide all necessary assistance to students for their internship, opportunities for live projects, industry interactions leading to final placements by arranging campus interviews for recruitments in corporate houses and to all public sectors, private sectors and MNC’s.
