Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Engineering college is located on Jodhpur- Jaipur High-Way, Near Dangiyawas at about 25 K.M. From Johdpur Railway Station. This College is approved by all India Council of Technical education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Rajasthan Technical university (RTU), Kota. SLBS Engineering College is a Unit of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Research & Training Institute. The College has a Campus with beautiful land scaping , Most modern laboratories, lecture theaters, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, open air theater, seminar hall, Computer lab, Well equipped Library and Work-Shop and a Canteen, Separate boys and girls hostels and extensive facilities for sports and co-curricular activities have been provided on the campus.
As a part of the efforts to develop and strengthen the relationship with the corporate world, SLBS has delineated long-term strategy to place its students in prestigious organizations. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell.
A well organized Training and Placement Cell is functioning in the Institution with a fulltime dedicated Training and Placement Officer, has long experience in industry. He maintains a consistent communication with the leading companies for placement of the students. The training deals with making the student feel confident and develop both leadership as well as a managerial quality. The department has developed a work-plan, which includes lectures by the specialist in public speaking, confidence building, stress and time management and attitudinal development.
Invitations are sent to the companies by the Training & Placement Officer (TPO). On receiving the eligibility criteria from a company/organization, a list of interested students containing required data is prepared and mailed. A tentative date for the company’s visit is worked out. After confirmation the office arranges a Pre-Placement Talk The company conducts its selection and shortlists students for the interview. The results are announced usually on the same day.
