Veer Kunwar Singh University, Arrah was established in 1992. The University is located at Arrah in Bihar. It was established under Bihar University Act 1976. It has been named after the well known national hero and distinguished freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh. Veer Kunwar Singh University is a public university approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The university fulfills the educational needs of the Bhojpur region of Bihar. The university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Besides imparting conventional education programs, emphasis is laid down by the university on job-oriented / professional courses. Apart from Bachelors level courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Education, several Master degree courses are also available.
