Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, East Godavari is situated on a small hill called Pandavulametta which has got importance of its own in the historical town of Peddapuram. The vidyalaya is located in a sprawling campus . The vidyalaya is at a distance about 25 kms from the destiny town of Kakinada, the Head Quarters of East Godavari District.

The infrastructural facilities available at the vidyalaya are as follows:
Administrative & Academic Block ,Library, Museum Corner, Laboratories, Smart Class Room; Music, Art & SUPW Work Shops, Multi purpose Hall ,Student Mess, Play Grounds and Dormitories for students.
In order achieve the goal of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, the following points are given priority.

Assessing the adequacy of teaching-learning aids and plan further enhancement under each type, Ex: Maps, Charts, Specimen, CDs, Computers, Video and Audio cassettes etc.
Assessing the adequacy of school library resources, reading room facilities, library services and enhancing and improving the same.
Assessing the facilities available for Physical Education and Recreational Activities, providing additional equipments and facilities and replacement of consumable items and repair of non-consumable items.
Maintenance of school plants and beautification of Vidyalaya campus with lawns, plants, trees and seasonal flowers.
DAssessing the security aspect of the school plants and campus and improving the same etc.
