The history of the establishment of the school goes like this, a group of teachers started thinking of establishing an institution which can be availed by all the section of society in a unique way with that intention teachers viz Mr. Rajat Dey, Mr. Biplob Das Gupta & Mr. Ajoy Acharya wandered place to place to assemble a group of elite people who can assist educationally & financially, ultimately they succeeded and convened a meeting on 29th of August 2003 to materialize the dream they dreamt of. Dignitaries like Mr. Pranab Kr. Haldar, Mr. Tara Sankar Pal (Ex Teacher Railway H.S. School), Dr. Swapan Kr. Das, Proff. Dilip Mazumdar, Mr. Raghu Nath Bhuiya, Mr. Hrishikesh Dey, Mr. Pradip Paul joined together & firmly took the initial resolution for the establishment of school under CBSE curriculum. The Heart & Soul toil continued for long seven years and finally the school got affiliated under Central Board of Secondary Education on 24h day of January 2011.
The school believes in an institution that could combine the concept of secularism and motivation to excel in an environment of diverse activities. Their dream became a reality in the year 2004 and since then the history of the school has been that of unequalled success and achievement.
Tagore School of Studies(T.S.S.) is one of the 11503(approx) School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, all over the country including good numbers abroad. The scheme of the school came into existence in 2004 by a group of young, energetic & honest people to provide uninterrupted better education to the wards of the locality, where there is no CBSE school nearby, and also to the Business men who don’t get a preference in other CBSE schools.
This school is a co-educational institution & follow trilingual medium of instruction. This school provides the educational needs of children by providing a common program of education all over the Country. Tagore school of studies is sprawling over at the heart of the Badarpur town, it is situated at Badarpurghat, and it is almost 30Km away from Silchar City and almost 28Km away from its own district town Karimganj. The school when first set up it has classes from Nursery to Cl-IV, extending one class every year; there is only one sec in each class from Nursery to Cl-X at present. The school witnessed rapid growth and expansion at every level of education resulting improved quality and standard of education in the institution. At present it is one of the leading private schools of the locality.
As the school follows CBSE curriculum the Regional office of the school is situated at Hatigaon Guwahati and the Head Quarter is at Preet Vihar, New Delhi. The students of T.S.S. are divided into four houses Subash Gandhi, Bhagat, Vivekananda. This is done to inculcate in students the spirit of emulation and competition, which calls forth the highest efforts and loyalties.
