BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSTY TIRUCHIRAPPALI was establish in 1982 ,and was name after the great revolutionary tamil poet bharathidasan (1891-1968).besides the main campus of the universty at Trichy, BU also has a campus at Nagapattinam Tiruvarur,Ariyalur and pudukkottai.
