CM Engineering College (CMEC) has been established under the aegis of the Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, a majestic empire, founded by Mr. CH. Malla Reddy. He has been in the field of education for the last 19 years with the intention of spearheading quality education among children from the school level itself. Since the beginning Mr. Malla Reddy has endeavored to ensure quality education and carved a niche for himself by managing 8 schools. With his vast experience in school education, he entered into higher education. As on date, 10 colleges namely Malla Reddy Engineering College, Malla Reddy College of Engineering & Technology, CM Engineering College, Malla Reddy Institute of Technology & Science, Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Malla Reddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Malla Reddy Institute of Management at maisammaguda campus and three colleges namely Malla Reddy College of Education, CM Institute of Management and St. Martins PG College (MCA) are successfully functioning under his able guidance. CM Engineering College has been laid upon a very strong foundation and has ever since been excelling in every aspect.
