The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore is a graduate school in India. It was established in the year of 1999. In feburary 2005 it was conferred as Deemed University. IIIT-B is under the administration of S Gopalakrishnan executive co-chairman of Infosys Ltd. It is situated in Electronic city,Bangalore. It is a place of teaching with advanced academic tools and the institute offers a world-class environment for students and faculty. It offers different courses like Bachelor of Technology, M tech program, MS by research and Ph.D. programmes. There is different admission criteria in different courses. Every year about 5000 applications are received, out of which about 300 students are enrolled in the two-year full-time M.Tech. program. Some of these students are selected through an All India Entrance Examination which is taken by about 2000 applicants. For PhD seats are 37 and for M.S seats are 26.
